Steve Parmer

2/17/1942 – 4/11/2015
Steve was called home to be with the Lord after a long, hard fought battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis and COPD.
He was born in Chickasha Oklahoma on February 17, 1942 to George and Phyllis Parmer. He attended Ella B Allen Elementary School and Chula Vista Junior and Senior High School and graduated from Hilltop High School in 1960. He loved sports and lettered in many. One of his greatest joys in life was coaching his boys Darren and Michael in Little League.
He retired from Rohr Industries/BF Goodrich Aerospace after 43 years of dedicated service.
Steve was an avid golfer. He participated in a golf league in San Diego with good friend and co-worker Wally. When he moved to Arizona in 2005 after retiring, he joined a great group of friends where he enjoyed playing golf three days a week.
Steve's best friend and true love of his life was his wife Ginny. They were married 51 years and grew deeper in love with each passing year. He was a loving husband, father and grandpa.
His greatest source of pride were his sons Darren and Michael and greatest pleasure was spending time with his family.
Steve is survived by his wife Ginny, son Darren and his wife Cinzia, son Michael and his wife Melanie, grandchildren Darrick, Ryan, Katelyn, Briana, great grandson Brayden and his sister Cindy Parmer Woods.
Services will be held on April 16th at Sunwest Funeral Home in El Mirage, AZ. Viewing will be from 10:30am – 12:00pm, service starts at 12:00pm.
