Shannon Ray Smith, 46, passed away May 19, 2013. He was born September 21, 1966 in Farmington , NM. He graduated from Bloomfield High School in Bloomfield, NM in 1984 and joined the US Air Force shortly after, he served from 1984 to 1988. Shannon later attended Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Las Vegas, NV, he graduated March 16, 2007. His lifetime career was primarily in the medical profession. Shannon enjoyed Snowboarding, Mountain-boarding, cooking, and most of all, loved spending time with his family. Shannon is survived by his mother, Bernadette L. Smith of NM: son Brett A. Smith and his mother Linda Smith of MA; daughter Kaitlyn C. Smith and her mother Julie Smith of AZ: step-son Seth B. Schreffler of Texas; brothers Kelly L. Smith and M. Cody Smith and his wife Jodie Smith; grandmother Ellen Holloway; niece Aleka J. Smith; nephew Kurt I. Smith all of NM; and Uncle, Bernard L. Holloway of TX. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 3:00 pm at Sunwest Funeral Home, 12525 NW Grand Ave, El Mirage, AZ.
