Roger David Puckett, 54, lost his fight to cancer Aug. 31, 2013. He was an avid Harley Davidson rider and enjoyed taking trips with his wife on Arizona roads exploring. When he was not on his bike he enjoyed camping, fishing and family functions. Roger worked at John C. Lincoln hospital for 14 years and at 1st Southern Baptist Church of Paradise Valley for 10 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Sally; children David, Liz, Richard, Corrina, and Jessica; mother Mary D. Comley; sisters Terry and Penny; 13 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; aunt Alice; and was an uncle to four. A visitation will be held on Thurs., Sept. 5, 2013 from 5 to 8pm at Sunwest Funeral Home, 12525 NW Grand Ave, El Mirage, AZ. A funeral service will be held on Friday, Sept 6, 2013 at 10 am at 1st Southern Baptist Church of Paradise Valley, 16033 N. 32nd St, Phoenix, AZ. Graveside service will follow at Sunwest Cemetery, El Mirage, AZ. Memorial contributions in Roger's name can be made to the American Cancer Society.
