Swartz, Patricia Prevendar, 78, of Sun City West, AZ; passed into eternity on July 30, 2015. Patricia was born in Chicago on March 3, 1937 to Michael and Elsie Prevendar. She grew up in Berwyn Illinois and attended the University of Illinois. She married her loving husband Austin T. Swartz of 58 years, on June 15, 1957. She is survived by her husband Austin (80), Brother, Michael Prevender (68), five children, Greg (57), Jeff (56), Mark (55), Laura (54) and Scott (50); 11 grandchildren, Hugo, Stella, Austin, Michael David, Jeffie, Lupita, John, Abby, Sierra, Michael Scott, and Martin plus 4 great grandchildren. Patricia was a great wife, mother and homemaker throughout her life; she enjoyed travel, music (especially Hawaiin), games, card playing, and card making. She loved Hawaii from her childhood, and so it was that she and Austin lived there for almost twenty years. She became an accomplished ukulele musician and Hula dancer, and enjoyed singing the Hawaiian songs and to lead the singing at special events. She also volunteered at the Red Cross and a local hospital near her residence on Maui, as long as she was physically able. She was a great conversationalist with a sharp mind. Her biggest talent was to put people at ease and make them laugh. Pat remained loyal to her Chicago Cubs for 50 consecutive heartbreaking seasons, a loyalty matched only by other Cubs fans.. Pat succumbed peacefully and pain-free to a rapid onset of cancer that had only been discovered three days earlier, and she communicated her love for her family and readiness for passing right up to the end. A visitation will be held Monday August 3, 2015 from 1-6 pm. Service Tuesday at 11:00AM with burial to follow all at Sunwest Funeral Home & Cemetery 12525 NW Grand Ave, El Mirage, Arizona 85335.
