Martin Ortega Gomez born in McNary Texas on March 10, 1929, beloved Father and Grandfather passed away peacefully on October 13, 2015 at his daughter and son in laws home in Tolleson, Arizona. He lost his battle to prostate cancer and those who know him know he fought the good fight.
What many people do not know is that Martin was drafted into the Army during the Vietnam War in 1969 and spent twelve months awaiting deployment. He received his Deferred Status after the twelve months. Which made him a Veteran of the United States Army, since their only protocol is to be active for even one day during a war. We Salute you for your Service.

Martin is preceded in death by his parents Marina Ortega Gomez and Jose Maria Gomez of Texas,
children Javier G. Gomez-AZ., Mary Gomez,-CA Sylvia Gomez Amador-CA, Martin Gomez Jr.-AZ

Survived by his Sister Juanita G. Gallegos of Sacramento, California, children Son Elias G. Gomez-Tolleson, Daughter Esther G. Amador her husband Jorge Amador of Tolleson, Son Jose G. Gomez his wife Maria of Surprise, Son Richard G. Gomez his wife Lucy of Surprise, Daughter Rosie Gomez fiancée Louis Rivera of California, Daughter Connie G. Amador her husband Pablo Amador of California, Nellie Gomez of California.
Numerous Grand Children, Great Grand Children and Great Great Grand Children, numerous nieces and nephews.
