Keith Richard Livingston was born during a brief but furious snow storm in Frederick, Maryland on March 21, 1996. As is the tradition in his family beginning with his Cherokee Great-Grandfather, Henry Hudson, he was given the family name Flurrie which most of his maternal relatives know him by. Keith passed into Eternity very unexpectedly from his bed at home on March 29, 2014 at the age of only 18 years old. At the time of his death, Keith was living with his parents, Tom and Misty (Ellen) Livingston, and his maternal Grandmother, Helen (Rainy) Myles, in El Mirage, Arizona. Throughout his life, Keith had resided equal amounts of time in Maryland and Arizona, but he considered Maryland to be his home and had hoped very much for a return there within the near future.
Keith's has had so many experiences and interests in his short life making it impossible to list all of them, but a few of that were a significant part of his life were: pee-wee football, karate, playing trumpet, playing guitar, singing, drawing, arts and crafts, dancing, hiking, bike riding, swimming, cross-country running, crafts, photography and creating online videos, creative writing and fan fiction, collecting comic books (Spiderman and Batman) and rocks, building sets and creatively with Legos, X-Box video games, the shows Blue's Clues, Spongebob, and Scooby Doo. In the past year of his life, Keith was a fan of the show My Little Pony and identified himself as part of a sub-culture who call themselves "Bronies." His favorite characters were called "Rainbow Dash" and "Princess Luna" because he said they reflected parts of his personality. He had much interest in the Star Wars movies, and comedy movies of all kinds. His favorite colors were blue and red. He loved all kinds of music and was rarely seen without earphones on. His most recent playlist included everything from Dubstep, German and Japanese rock, hip-hop, rap, country, 70's, 80's, and 90's. He tended to be attracted to music that those who were close in his life enjoyed.
Keith had a comedian's heart. His gift was making people laugh even when they were going through the toughest moments. His joy was contagious. Keith never held back when he laughed and did so freely and frequently. Keith loved all of nature and tried to spend as much time outdoors as possible. He had expanded his definition of spirituality to include not only Christianity but also Apache beliefs. He had a spirit that was very giving, especially toward the sick or less fortunate. Often he befriended those who were bullied in school and stood up for them even when it led to making himself a target. He had a special spiritual intuition and a child-like understanding of God as his protector and guide. In his room the following quotes from the Bible were discovered that he had just recently written down searching out some answers on his own and marked: Job 19:25-29, Thessalonians 4:14-18, John 5:40, and John 3:16-18.
Keith loved all animals, although his favorites were the otter and the wolf (his spirit animals), and had at one time planned on becoming a veterinarian. He has had fish, hamsters, guinea pigs, cats, and dogs as pets. Keith's future plans had included completing the last three credits of his high school diploma which he had been working very hard toward, and then attending trade school to pursue a career in auto-mechanics. Keith said that his father was the inspiration for his love of working with cars, and often would assist with any car repairs. Keith also planned to obtain his driver's license this year and wanted to save money to purchase a small truck. He had several possible job opportunities opening to him in recent weeks that he was very excited about.
Awaiting Keith with open arms in Eternity are his Grandfather and Spiritual Guide whom he adored and admired, Richard Vitto, his Welsh Grandfather who inspired his love of dogs/wolves, Thomas Livingston Sr., his Apache Grandfather who will finally be meeting him, Ronnie Myles, his very special Great-Grandmother, Ellen Taylor (Best), his beloved Great-Grandmother, Alice Rimer, his almost-legendary Great-Grandfather, Ben Booker, his infant Aunt and Uncle, Deanna and Richard Myles, and his tiny precious nephew Angelo Trammel.
Keith will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by his other surviving family. Some of those family are: his Italian Grandmother Dixie Cunningham (Rimer), Grandfather ,Stanley Taylor, (Pop-Pop) who loved his "Ross Perot", Aunts Lina (Crystal), Theresa (Stormy),Nancy (Dawn), Virginia, Laura, Mick; Great-Aunts Hail, Gail, Windy; Great-Uncles Bernie, Danny, Thunder, Lightning, Brian, and Bobby; cousins Derrick, Trevor, Daniel, Jordan, Chris, Danielle, Nicole, Shyanne (Spring), Gianna (Sunshine), Angelina (Dusty); second-cousin Matthew; other family Sissy, Joyce, Joe.
Keith had too many friends to mention all by name, but some of his closest friends during his life have been: Daniel, Gunnar, Michael, Oscar, Austin, Noah, Chris, Hannah, Caitlynn, Deanna, and Davie.
Keith carried the ashes of his Grandfather Richie in a gold cross around his neck. These ashes and his much cherished Rainbow Dash stuffed animal from Build-A-Bear will be cremated with him. His funeral services will be held on Thursday June 5, 2014 at the Sunwest Funeral Home in El Mirage, AZ. His final resting place is planned to be in a family burial plot in Pennsylvania where his parents remains will join him when God allows the family to be reunited again. In addition to this online memorial, we will be keeping Keith's Facebook page active for any family or friends who want to express their thoughts and feelings about him on his wall.
