Karen Schaeffer Clark, 62, of Wittman passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, January 4. Karen was born September 6, 1950 in Lewistown, MT to Edgar and Helen (Heggem) Schaeffer as the third child of five. She attended Flax Country School and graduated from Winifred High School in 1968. She then attended Bible School in Canada and then studied business at Great Falls Community College. She moved to Kingman in 2001 until 2005 when she relocated to Imperial, CA prior to settling in Wittmann in 2008. She has worked for many different assisted living facilities in Lewistown, Kingman, and Phoenix. She was very devoted to the individuals she served in all of the facilities and treated them like family rather than clients. She was very hard working and never turned down any request from friends or family in need of help or most often advice. She was preceded in death by her parents and her first and second husbands. She is survived by her sons James (Monica) from Imperial, CA, and Josh (Stephanie) from Wittman, AZ; her ex-husband Earl Clark of Geraldine; her grandchildren Savannah, Addison, Levi, and McKenna; her sisters Nancy Skinner of Winnett, Montana and Connie Walker (Lanny) of Fort Benton, MT; brothers Larry Schaeffer (Cathy) of Winnett, MT and John Schaeffer (Kathleen) of Lewistown, MT; as well as many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday January 12th at 11:00 am at Sunwest Funeral Home, 12525 NW Grand Ave, El Mirage, AZ. Services in Lewistown, MT will take place on January 19th.
