JONATHAN ANDREW EREKSON, beloved son and brother, passed from this life Tuesday, April 8th, 2014. He was born June 25th, 1999 in Glendale, Arizona. He was fourteen years old. There were so many wonderful things about him that to list them all would require many, many pages. Growing up he was involved in many sporting events, including: basketball, football, soccer, and baseball. He was gifted athletically and there was an inherent grace to him. He loved to cook and prepared many dishes for his family. But best of all he had a kind and tender heart. Many a stray dog or cat or injured bird found help and solace in his hands. He was funny, intelligent, and simply the best part of his parent's lives. It cannot be overstated how much he was loved and will be missed. His beautiful smile could touch anyone's heart. Jonathan lived in Surprise, Arizona and attended Shadow Ridge High School as a freshman. Jonathan is survived by his mother Dara Giglio, his father Jared Erekson, his brother Nicholas Giglio, his grandparents Thomas and Valerie Giglio, his grandmother Louise Erekson, and also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 15th, 2014 at Arrowhead Funeral Center at 7545 W. Rose Garden Ln. Glendale, AZ 85308 from 5 to 8pm. The phone number is 623-362-3255. Service will be Wednesday, April 16th, 2014 at 10am with burial to follow (same location).
