James Charles Jensik, 66, passed away on August 15, 2015 at his home in Sun City, AZ. He was born on August 12, 1949 in Melrose Park, IL. Jim grew up in Phoenix and graduated from Maryvale High School in 1967. After high school, Jim served in the US Air Force with tours of duty in both Okinawa and Thailand from January 1969 to January 1973 when he was honorably discharged. He retired from the Arizona lottery in 2004. Jim was an active member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Sun City. Jim enjoyed golf and cards but most enjoyed spending time with his daughter and grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents Irving and Ann Jensik. Jim is survived by his loving daughter Kimberly Ann Gilbert of Litchfield Park, AZ, grandsons Taylor and Ryan Gilbert, sister Connie Scott, brother in law Tom Scott, nephew Troy Scott and a large extended family. Graveside Memorial Services to be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 9:00 AM at St. Francis Cemetery, 2033 North 48th Street, Phoenix, Arizona 85008. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Wounded Warriors Foundation or Arizona Diabetes Association.
