David Wayne Cates, 52, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on January 11, 2014 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was at his Phoenix home with his family at the time of his passing. David was born on June 7, 1961 to proud parents Clifford and Mary Cates, both deceased, in Tulare CA. David, who loved touching people's hearts and spreading God's word, was a pastor for over 20 years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years Kay; daughter Tricia; son Chris; daughter-in-law Laura; grandsons Corbyn and Angel. He is also survived by 4 brothers, Billy; Donnie; Bobby and Ronnie. Sister-in-laws Cindy; Sarah; Annette; Clydie; Melinda and Diane. Brother -in-law Johnny. As well as many nieces and nephews. He was surrounded in love by many dear friends who he adored. We all will surely miss him.
